Brit dies on Benidorm stag do in front of dad and mates in Flamingo Bar tragedy (2025)

A Brit groom was pronounced dead at the Funky Flamingo bar in Benidorm while on a stag with friends and family – the man's wedding was planned for May this year

A British man tragically collapsed and passed away in front of his father and friends while on his Benidorm stag do.

The 29-year-old dad from Halifax passed away after an incident at the Funky Flamingo bar on March 22. The manager claims the man attending the bar toppled off a stool and smacked his head on the floor, with paramedics having then been called to the scene.

Unconscious, he was given CPR by the bar staff for about 15 minutes until paramedics took over. Despite an adrenaline shot and further resuscitation efforts, the paramedics were unable to save the man. The National Police released a statement to the press confirming: "We can confirm that a man suffered some type of medical problem and died at the scene.

"He was treated by those present at the premises and then by the paramedics who responded to the call. The medical causes of the death are unknown."

Bar boss Gaston Luciano revealed: "They gave him a shot of adrenaline and connected him to a machine, they did everything they could, it was so sad. His friends were in shock for the first minute or so and then it hit them what was happening, they were emotional and crying."

Bystanders reported seeing "several police cars" and two ambulances outside the bar, with one noting a significant amount of blood trailing from the man's head.

Photos captured at the scene show a significant turnout of emergency services. The deceased man had a history of heart issues and had suffered an attack a few years prior, reports Mirror. He'd embarked on the trip to Benidorm to celebrate his wedding which was planned for this May.

Other British holidaymakers present when the situation unfolded were understandably concerned and took to social media to ask about his wellbeing.

One concerned individual posted: "Does anyone know if the man who collapsed in Flamingo bar is okay? ... Been worried sick ever since about him." To which another from the group solemnly responded: "Unfortunately, he passed away."

The sight of numerous ambulances had also sparked worry among the crowd, prompting questions of concern online. A TikTok user observed: "Be careful in Benidorm! Lots of police, road closed, and ambulances everywhere... hope everyone is okay!"
